Antioquia – Paranoid Android
Antioquia covering Paranoid Android at Ella Lounge on 8/11/12
Antioquia in NYC
My old friend Rachel came through NYC with the band she is in Antioquia. I hadn’t seen her in around 7 years, and so I jumped at the chance to go and see them play. It was a great time, and I look forward to seeing them play again when they come back through Brooklyn in September. Stay tuned later for a video I took of them covering Paranoid Android!
15th House
Hey everyone, sorry that these pictures are kinda late going up, but I was in the middle of a move, and so this is my first update coming from Washington State. I’m going to miss Ohio, there were a lot of great people and great shows there, but I’m also excited to move on and enjoy a new part of my life.
Pictures of New Creases, Be My Doppelganger, The Pheramones, The Dopamines at 15th House.
Immortal Technique
This was my first rap show that I’ve ever been to. It was a lot of fun, and kind of interesting to take pictures at. I’m used to punk shows where everyone is dancing and thrashing around, but that didn’t really happen here… so I just kinda felt off. I know its weird, but I think I work better when I have people shoving against me, and I can shove back and stand my ground. But in any case, the show was a lot of fun. I did get some good pictures, though overall they are not my best work. The Grog Shop has some weird lighting, which while it worked for BTMI, they changed it up some for Immortal Technique and it was rough to work with. Oh well, such is life. Also, if you haven’t listened to Immortal Technique, you should. Do it. Okay, I’m done talking, so, with no further ado, pictures of Demics, Diabolic, Poison Pen, and Immortal Technique.
DIT Fest
This weekend I went to DIT Fest (The DIT stands for DO IT TOGETHER) in Kent Ohio. I drove up on Friday right after work, crashed at a stranger (at the time, now me and Brett are fantastic chums)’s house, and stayed through Saturday night, into the early sunday morning. It was a great time. Good music, good energy, good food, good people. Someone told me that I was perhaps the most thorough photo archivist of Berea Fest, and I strove to do the same here. While I didn’t get every band, I tried to get at least a few shots of everyone I could. I want to thank all the bands for playing, all the people for coming, and especially all the people who helped set up and put on this awesome fest. I had a great time, and felt so very welcomed. And so, with no further ado, pictures.

Bomb The Music Industry and Laura Stevenson and The Cans in Cinci 7-26
Well, these all got kinda mixed up, but basically, when you see Laura Stevenson singing with a guitar, it is from the Laura Stevenson and The Cans set. When you see Jeff Rosencrocs singing with a guitar, it is from the Bomb The Music Industry set. I’m really stoked on all these pictures, but especially on the Bomb shots, because I think more than any other time I’ve shot them I captured part of the insanity that is a live show by them.
With no further ado:
Bomb the Election Industry!
Yeah yeah, we all know Barack Obama is the President Elect. But do you know what I was doing when I found that out? Rocking the fuck out to Bomb The Music Industry! Shit was out of control. So suffice to say, my election night was better than your election night. Unless of course you were there with me. So with no further ado, pictures.
