Through the woods.
Today I went down into the woods in the Park of Roses. It was beautiful, green, and alive. Here are some pictures I took while I was there.
Ride of Silence
I did the Ride of Silence today. It’s a group ride, taken in total silence, to raise awareness of cyclists on the road, and to honor and mourn those injured or killed by drivers. If you ride, you probably know someone who has been hurt or killed, like I do, and know how much that can hit home.
There was an amazing turn out, hundreds of people. The ride started in front of the State House, and went up High Street to Clintonville, before turning back down Summit, and back to the start. Before the ride, the organizers spoke about the ride, and what it meant, and even made special mention of a friend who has recently suffered an accident, Shawn. It was nice to have that sense of awareness and community.
Here are my pictures from the ride.
Kid Sister
Some shots from the rare event of me and my sister being in the same place at the same time.
Columbus in March
So these shots are actually a little older than some of the other stuff I’ve posted. I just wanted to get the roadtrip pictures up first because that was a bigger event in my life. These shots are from when I came back to Columbus in March for a week to visit.
15th House
Hey everyone, sorry that these pictures are kinda late going up, but I was in the middle of a move, and so this is my first update coming from Washington State. I’m going to miss Ohio, there were a lot of great people and great shows there, but I’m also excited to move on and enjoy a new part of my life.
Pictures of New Creases, Be My Doppelganger, The Pheramones, The Dopamines at 15th House.
Legion of Doom 1/30/10
No pictures of Underdogs, because we got there a little late. The highlight of my night was the “When You Were Mine” cover by Good Luck.
The Ergs! Last show in Columbus!
The Ergs played at Carabar in Columbus on Monday, one of their last shows ever, as they are breaking up soon, and so of course, we were there. The show was out of control, there was so much energy and emotion in the crowd. All of the people and the band were like some sort of crazy writhing singular organism. Best part? The show was free. The Ergs sure know how to go out with a bang. So following are a bunch of pictures from one of the best shows I’ve ever been to in my life, along with the set list of the show. Now keep in mind, the setlist was a strange mass of scribbles, and I can’t entirely remember if they played anything else between the planned set and the encore.
